Movie star Mark Wahlberg (51) says he hopes God likes movies.
Wahlberg is a dedicated Catholic, and in several interviews recently, including with Fox News Digitalhe confides that he gives God the credit for everything he has achieved in life, both in his private life and in his career.
– It is the most important aspect of my life. The most important thing, says Wahlberg, who believes that the discipline he has is a result of what he believes in.
The “Uncharted” star is very keen that he should not be afraid to speak openly, although he believes that the film industry is probably “not so receptive”.
– But I don’t shove what I believe in down other people’s throats, says the 51-year-old.

– It is not popular in my industry, but I cannot deny my belief. That is why it is important for me to share it with others, said the 51-year-old.
He jokes that he hopes God is a movie fan.
– I’ve made some films, whether it’s “Boogie Nights” or “Ted”, which can perhaps be questioned, says Wahlberg.
However, he clarifies that artistic integrity is important, and he will not abandon it.
– But as a parent and husband, it is clearly something I must take into account when I make a choice. At the same time, I like to take chances.
Last year, Wahlberg played the role of Father Stu in the biopic of the same name about the late boxer and Catholic priest. He describes that mission as “a love letter to his own faith”.
– I was very proud of it, says Wahlberg, about the film – where suffering and hardship bring the character closer to God.

Wahlberg hasn’t always been a practicing believer. In his youth he was repeatedly at odds with the law. The job as an actor was a blessing, he believes, and the 51-year-old refers to himself as a tool for higher powers.
– God has given me the ability and opportunity to go out and communicate the message he wants, says the film star, who is married and has four children.
– And he continues to bless me.
Last year, the family moved from Beverly Hills in Los Angeles to Las Vegas, so that the children would have more opportunities to develop their interests, and because he thought it was easier to find a “healthy lifestyle” outside the film city.
