A singer who moved to South Korea By Robin Packalen tells in a YouTube video about the culture shock that surprised him in his new home country. Packalen is supposed to be in the capital, Seoul, during the spring. He has said that he left for the trip without his manager and background team.

In Awesome Korea’s video, he talks about a situation where he was totally shocked.

– Korea is safer than Europe, at least from what I’ve seen. I saw someone leave their car keys on the table at the local McDonalds and go somewhere. I don’t know where he went, Robin Packalen wonders.

The interviewer says that in South Korea, people often leave their wallet, credit card or keys on the table when they want to reserve their own place in a restaurant.

– The jacket is ok, but if you leave something more valuable, like a wallet… Packalen wonders.

He states that the honesty of South Koreans and Finns has something in common.

Crowded streets

Traveling on the subway during rush hour has also become difficult, because the trains are so full of people that there is no personal space.

Packalenia has also been confused by the long 16-18 hour workdays. It has made me happy that the restaurants in South Korea are open at night – even when Robin has come home from the studio at two in the morning.
