Sunday, March 19 from 12. The 27th General Latvian Song and 17th Dance Festival will be held in the Īslīce House of Culture. A big holiday performance “Eternal engine” and the big concert “Balts” joint repertoire will be shown to the jury by 24 dance groups of Bauska region.
The show will take place in two parts, the regional cultural organizers inform. In the first part, there will be raffles and optional dances from the repertoire of the big dance performance “Eternal Engine”. 12 collectives will perform, representing C, E2, F1 and F2 quality groups from the Bauska cultural center, Pilsrundāle secondary school, Valle saieta nama, Iecava cultural house, Vecumnieku tautas nama, Īslīce cultural house, Svitene tautas nama, Stelpe parish and Bārbele tautas nama.

From 4:40 p.m., the second part of the show will take place, in which the dance collectives of Bauska region from the A, B, D and E1 quality groups will perform raffles and optional dances. This group will include the dance collectives of the Īslīce Culture House, Bauska Children and Youth Center, Iecava Culture House, Bauska Culture Center, Skaistkalne Folk House, Barbele Folk House, Ceraukstes Folk House and Svitene Folk House.
At the end of the second part of the show, three raffle dances from the repertoire of the big concert “Balts” will be evaluated. They will be performed by the middle-generation dance group “Līdums” of the Īslīce House of Culture, the dance group “Mēmelīte I” of the Bauska Children and Youth Center, as well as the middle-generation dance group “Mēmele” of the Bauska Culture Center.
