The Show Must Go On: West End Actors Make Music Video To Support Their Colleagues

LONDON, Dec 22 (Reuters) – Actors from London’s West End made a festive music video to support theater people affected by coronavirus restrictions.

“Christmas Again (The Show Must Go On!)” Celebrates the festive season, after a challenging year for those on stage and behind the scenes.

Thirty singers recorded their parts separately in the studio, or remotely from their homes, which gave them time to raise money for the Theater Support Fund.

London theaters are closed at the moment as the capital faces a new variant of coronavirus, easier to transmit.

Director Joe McNeice, who co-authored the song released in late November, said he hoped to explore more innovative ways of doing theater next year.

The outdoor performances could be “a real lifesaver for all of us,” he said. “Theater can exist in a field with a group of 20 people gathered around a small stage watching people tell stories,” he added.
