The show jumping of Montluçon (Allier) made a successful return to the Saint-Jean racecourse this weekend

Very good weather, riders and a public at the rendezvous for three days. The members of the Association de cavalier du Bourbonnais had a smile on Sunday, July 3, during the last day of the 18th edition of the show jumping of Montluçon (Allier), at the Saint-Jean racecourse.

Two hundred riders participating in the competition

The obstacles of the test n° 16 were at 1.35 meters.

After two blank years, the return of this equestrian event kept its promises on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Despite the holding of another jumping in Vichy and galloping inflation, two hundred amateur and professional riders took part in the Montluçon competition. A satisfaction for Philippe Perche, the vice-president of the Association of riders of Bourbonnais.

We are happy to have had two hundred participants because the costs are exploding. As a result, the riders are forced to make choices and can no longer go to all the competitions.

A family audience that returned after a two-year hiatus

The last event was the toughest with professional competitors.

One of the assets of show jumping in Montluçon is to benefit from a very present family audience throughout the weekend.

We are organizing a contest accessible for free in a nice setting. We want to share our passion for show jumping and introduce people to this sport.

Always loyal sponsors

The other source of satisfaction for the Bourbonnais Riders Association is the loyalty of their sponsors.

All of our sponsors responded. We have around fifty of them, including the City of Montluçon. Thanks to them, we can offer many prizes to participants in addition to prizes for winners.
