– The family feels a bottomless grief. They are left with many unanswered questions about what happened, says development assistance lawyer Andrea Wisløff to Dagbladet.
She represents one left behind by Rustam Louis Foss (33), who was shot and killed by the police after he threatened several people with a knife and attacked a patrol with a knife on Bislett on Tuesday.
Dagbladet publishes names and pictures of Foss, at the request of, and in consultation with the family.

Previously convicted
After the knife incident at Bislett, Foss was charged with attempted murder of four people. One police officer was injured in the collision between the 33-year-old and the police.
Foss was then shot by police. He later died of gunshot wounds.
Foss has also previously been convicted of attempted murder on an open street. In the summer of 2019, he attacked several people with a knife on an open street in central Oslo. In December 2020, he was sentenced to compulsory mental health care.
According to the verdict from December in 2020, Foss allegedly stabbed a man in the back on Ankerbrua in central Oslo in the early morning of June 2019.

At this time, Foss lived in a collective with two other people in Oslo.
These were threatened with a knife in 2019, while a fire was going on in the apartment the three lived in.

All three left the residence after a short time, and not long afterwards, the now deceased man have stabbed Lehnnon Austria Dominguez nine times at Ankerbrua. During the same period, he also threatened several people with a knife.
The 33-year-old is said to have tried to stab the man repeatedly. The victim Lehnnon Austria Dominguez – was stabbed nine times, but must have managed to resist strongly and prevent more stabbings.
He tells Dagbladet today that he is shocked that the deceased man now was out.
The experts assumed that the 33-year-old’s schizophrenia disorder led to the psychosis.

Foss was born in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, and is a Russian citizen.
He has lived in Norway for large parts of his life, including in Drammen and in Oslo.
According to a previous ruling, Foss attended the Theater Academy in 2013 and 2014. He has since appeared in both plays, films and TV series.
