The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has eliminated German tennis player Alexander Zverev from a tournament in Acapulco, Mexico for unsportsmanlike conduct.
I do not intend to argue with new tennis fans, each one has their own perception of the sport in their experience, but Alexander Zverev’s is grotesque and unacceptable, I hope they have balls and there is a sanction. If this is done by someone else, they are suspended.pic.twitter.com/7OkmXUy6wH
Defender of last year’s title attacked the empire referee after losing in Wednesday’s quarterfinal match. Zverev thus ends up in the tournament and will not perform in the second round of singles, in which he was to compete against compatriot Peter Gojowczyk.
Zverev and Brazilian Marcel Melom succumbed to a British-Finnish tandem composed of Lloyd Glasspool, Harri Heliovaara 2: 6, 6: 4, 6:10. Shortly after the end of the match, the Olympic winner from the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo went to the empire, where he started hitting with a racket and almost hit the referee’s feet. He cursed him vulgarly before the next blows. The information was provided by the DPA.
