Swiss coach Rene Weiler, Al-Ahly’s first football team coach, has been excluded from the team’s red list for Zimbabwe’s Platinum match while Muhammad Majdi Qafsha is sitting on the bench.
Al-Ahly will play in the third Saturday afternoon at the Papa Fils Mandava Stadium, in the fourth round matches of the group stage of the African Champions League.
The Swiss decided to push the Angolan Giraldo da Costa at the expense of the star’s jump in the past matches, while relying on Ahmed Fathi in the right-back position instead of Mohamed Hani.
Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba” sits on the bench after the first appearance with Al-Ahly in the last match against FC Egypt.
The bench sits: Ali Lutfi, Mahmoud Metwally, Muhammad Hani, Majdi Afsha, Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, Walid Azzaro and Yasser Ibrahim.
