The sharp saw from Lamborghini has 920 horses, interesting shapes and a generic name: Temerario – Garáž.cz

Ferrari has a hybrid supersport, McLaren has a hybrid supersport, and Lamborghini can’t be missing from this party, of course. But while the competition went for a six-cylinder, this Lambo has eight cylinders in the middle of its aggressively shaped body. And definitely not just any!

Conceptually, it is the old familiar twin-turbo 4.0 V8, which we know from Audi or Porsche, but to use it in Lamborghini, they changed it a lot – now it is, for example, flat crank or titanium connecting rods. Thanks to this, it spins at a stratospheric revolution of 10,000 and just a hair below it produces its 800 horses (160 more than the most powerful Technic Hurricane) and 730 Nm. We should not miss out on a proper squeal that adds to the high sensation we remember from the ten-cylinder Huracán. But there is something else.

Along with the new engine there are a trio of electric motors (one 85-horsepower on each front wheel, the third one with 150 horsepower in an eight-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission) borrowed from the Revuelto. But it’s not bad for the environment, the small battery (with a capacity of 3.8 kWh with the ability, but not necessary, to recharge from the socket) allows a range of only 15 km – here, too, the doping mostly electric taking into account sharp throttle response and precise torque vectoring. The driving experience should be a different class than in the analogue Huracán.

And speed too. Thanks to a massive 920 horsepower combined (the Ferrari 296 GTB has 830 horsepower and the McLaren Artura only 680 horsepower) and the sophisticated drive, the Temerario shoots from rest to 100 in just 2.7 seconds (the Huracán Tecnica manages the same control in 3.2 seconds) and accelerates up to 343 km / h (the predecessor was capable of 325 km / h).

All that technology added to the weight of the Temeraria (about 268 kg, but there will be a “light” package among the extras, which will save 55 kg), but the resulting 1,690 kg is still not a tragedy ( unlike, say, the BMW M5 ) – even if it weighs 220 kg more than the Ferrari. The Ferrari 296 GTB may still be faster on the circuit, but the Lamborghini Temerario engine promises a more wild that will send chills down your spine. Just as we are used to cars with a bull in the logo…

This is also confirmed by Stephan Winkelmann: “Performance and limits are one idea, but emotions are just as important.” And Lamborghini won’t lose them even with electric doping. And it won’t lose customers either, because Revuelto is said to be sold out for the next three years. So hurry up and join the queue for Temerario, which will hit the market as soon as next year. No one has said a word about the price yet, but if you don’t have at least ten million free in your account, forget about it…
