On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, and in collaboration with the Saudi German Hospital in Sharjah, the General Command of the Sharjah Police, represented by the management of the Punitive and Corrective Institute, organized a two-day health awareness seminar in the ‘area of the institution’s community and health initiatives aimed at prisoners.

The General Command of the Sharjah Police, represented by the Department of the Punitive and Corrective Institution, organized a health awareness seminar on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, in collaboration with the Saudi German hospital in Sharjah.
The seminar, which was attended by more than 70 residents of the institution of both elements, included a package of health awareness classes on the concept and importance of mental health, on how to keep a positive mind amid daily stress and on the impact of physical activities and psychological exercises on lung function.
Colonel Mona Sorour Al Shuwaihi, deputy director of the punitive and corrective institution, confirmed that the Sharjah police put the process of promoting the mental health of its inmates among its priorities, organizing various initiatives that support their mental health and enable them to adopt healthy lifestyles that contribute to their rehabilitation with a view to their reintegration into society.
