The Sharjah Literary Agency announced that the international Libyan novelist and writer Ibrahim Al-Koni is the first to join its list of writers, as it has repeatedly signed a contract with the writer nominated for the Nobel Prize to manage his literary rights and represent him in international markets in various languages. With this step – which came during the activities of the 42nd session of the Sharjah International Book Fair – the agency embodies its efforts to facilitate communication between writers, publishers, translators and creative content makers, and organize their operations according to legal and professional frameworks.

Director of the Sharjah Literary Agency, Tamer Saeed, said: “With more than 90 books and 15 international awards, we welcome Al-Koni to be the first name on our list of writers, to manage his literary rights and represent him in global markets in various languages, which reflects his confidence in the Sharjah Literary Agency, and we look forward to this being a fruitful step to strengthen Opportunities to transform written production into visual and audio content that reaches wider segments of the audience around the world.”
