Several potentially flood-prone sectors

The level of the Sèvre Niortaise therefore continues to rise with a flood peak announced for this Thursday, February 4 in Niort. But already from 6 a.m. on Wednesday, there could be the first overflows in potentially flood-prone areas:

  • Little Bottles Street
  • Coquelonne Street
  • Métayer quay (upper part)
  • Quai Métayer (after the ring road)
  • quai de la Regratterie
  • Belle-Ile wharf
  • rue and impasse de la Chamoiserie
  • rue Saint-Martin
  • rue Villon
  • rue des 3 Ponts
  • rue du 8-Mai
  • rue de la Clie
  • rue des Prés du Pairé

The Bessac – the lower part – and Ormeaux car parks in the city center are prohibited, as is the camper van area. The City on watch over the Sèvre flood asks the residents of Niort to be vigilant and to respect the signs put in place.
