Secrets of the series

Before her death, Riley wrote several key passages and made detailed notes about the plot. It was her express wish that her oldest son, Harry Whittaker, would complete the series. “My mother has entrusted me with the secrets of the series, and I will keep my promise to her by sharing it with her readers. They can be confident that by the spring of 2023 the whole world will know who Pa Salt is and why he is.” adopted the sisters.”

Family and connection

It is not the first time that mother and son have worked together. Whittaker and Riley already wrote the children’s book series together The Guardian Angel.

The Dutch publisher of the series, Sander Knol, is delighted with the co-authorship. “The story of Pa Salt must of course be told. The fact that Lucinda’s son Harry himself will complete the novel cycle fits naturally with the magic of the series, in which family and connection play such an important role.”

The Irish writer’s books are read all over the world. More than 30 million books of the series have been published worldwide sold, of which three million copies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
