“The patriot is – the soul gives
for science, for freedom;
but not your soul, brethren,
and the soul of the people!”

“Modern political democracy is a system of government in which the rulers are held accountable for their actions in the public sphere by citizenswhich act indirectly through the mechanisms of competition and cooperation between their elected representatives.”

This definition of democracy is given in the journal “Democracy” by Philip Schmitter and Terry Karl.1

However, according to the “logic” of some sick Russophobes, the citizens who have the courage to seek responsibility from the rulers for making important decisions that are not agreed with the society are “primitive Russophiles”.2

These “patriots”, occupying the official media, run from studio to studio to convince 78% of Bulgarians – positively disposed towards Russia (as of 2012, according to the data of the latest international study of “Transatlantic Trends, 2012”3), how “as of today the winning policy is the bold support of the country’s pro-Atlantic orientation and hers firmly pushing through.’

At the same time, gentlemen “patriots” explain how “Democratic government is dictatorship of the majority over the minority, in which the minority has the right to exist but not to rule. So at such historical moments clearly an answer must be given to the primitive ones Russophiles that they have no mandate to determine the political orientation of Bulgaria.4

Curious! Not only is the term “dictatorship”, which democracy categorically rejects5but, in their pro-Western servitude, the sick Russophobes forgot to count. According to them the majority in Bulgaria is 22% and only it, it alone has the right to determine the political orientation of Bulgaria.

Paradoxically, this happens at a time when 300 German intellectuals address an open letter to President Putin with „Dear Mr. President“, to declare their categorical support for the unification of Crimea with Russia. The letter is joined by hundreds of other Germans, including lawyers, journalists, doctors, military personnel, scientists, diplomats and historians6who condemn Russophobic propaganda in the media and show their support for Moscow’s actions in the ongoing Ukrainian crisis; which admit that “The Soviet Union made incomparable sacrifices for the liberation of Europe from Nazism and recognized the unification of Germany“…, but “This was not respected by the West”. Condemn “The expansion of NATO in the former Soviet republics and the creation of military bases in the former members of the Warsaw Pact, as well as the creation of an anti-missile shield in Eastern Europe; They point out that today the interests of Europe they don’t match with US interests as it was during the Cold War; They also condemn the intervention of the USA in the political orientation of Germany, expressing desire and support for economic union misI am waiting for the Eurasian and European communities.

This happens at a time when „German foreign policy“ writes about the “dual strategy” that the West is implementing in its attempts to subdue Russia and calls for “negotiations on cooperation between the EU and the newly created Eurasian Union.” The authoritative publication ironizes the aggression against Russia, admitting that it leads nowhere.7

This is what happens when hundreds of Americans sign petition to the White House with the appeal: “Stop the deployment of US or NATO troops to Ukraine and the funding of the Ukrainian government.” that “again the stage is being set for a war that could bring the world nuclear annihilation. This level of danger must be acted upon. Please help stop this march to the death of billions..” 8they urge.

While billions are being poured here in order to change the mental map of Bulgarians, large international demonstrations “No to war – no NATO”.9

There are a number anti-NATO coalitions from around the world (encompassing peace and anti-globalist movements, trade unions and student organizations), whose numbers are constantly growing. They have long protested NATO’s aggressive military and nuclear policies, arguing that “Instead of providing security, NATO has, for decades, increasingly become an obstacle to achieving world peace; into an instrument of military action sanctioned by the international community, by various means encouraging and facilitating the waging of wars under the pretext of the “war on terror”.

Or according to the logic of the earning “patriots”, those who spoke out against the obvious aggression of NATO and the expansionist policy of the USA, are “primitive Russophiles”. And only those who obligingly patriotize IN THE NAME OF AMERICA’S SURVIVAL, AND NOT OF BULGARIA, are the progressive saviors of Bulgaria

But why is this so, why is this happening?

Because, as the American Ph.D., employee of the US National Security Agency (NSA), executive director of Columbia University’s “Institute for Global Perspectives”, Paul Christie himself admits: “We had to figure out how, without global carnage, Americans could live well at the expense of others.”

Thus, devoted to the cause, Russophobe patriots follow the guru’s vow:

“Understand one thing, in order to sever Europe’s economic ties with Russia, Europeans must be so scared of the Russian danger that they want it (the break) themselves – European public opinion on cooperation with Russia must fundamentally change. The aggressiveness and unpredictability of Russia should be emphasized in every possible way, and it should be provoked to escalate the conflict in Ukraine. The media must constantly talk about increasing tensions in Ukraine, about the violence and cruelty of the Russians, to make Europe ripe for rupture. Let the Europeans shudder at the possible Russian invasion. All media activity should be devoted to creating the image of the unceremonious Russian who is ready for any adventure, starting with provocative flights over an American warship and ending with the movement of an armada of Russian tanks to the borders of the Baltics and Ukraine. It is on the activity of the media that the mindset of the European population and ultimately the success of the US Ukrainian campaign depends.”
