On the first round, Kompas.com drive Hyundai Ioniq. Equipped with an electric motor with 136 TK and 295 Nm of torque, Ioniq dibejek full over on the circuit.

When you enter the first corner, you feel that the body of this electric sedan is not so swayed. Hyundai argues that because of the low electric battery placement point, it can turn more stably even at high speeds.

Then switch on the straight track, trying to keep a distance from the other cars in front. When stepping on full gas, the silence of the electric motor makes a sound of gravel that touches the surface of the tire, clearly heard up to the cabin.

Towards the third corner, it does not feel like the speed has reached 110 kph. When at the third and fourth corners, it was deliberately made sharper to see the car’s reaction to a broken turn, a symptom understeer not really felt.

After going through various bends and arriving at the straight path of the place start, this is where the acceleration of the electric car feels maximal. From the stopping position, immediately step on the gas for approximately 100 meters.

The status of an electric car with instant torque character, when stepping on the gas from a stopped position, the acceleration is still fairly smooth. Maybe this car is right for those who want to switch from conventional engines to electric cars because of the sensation grab not too surprising.

Hyundai Kona

Turning to the second session, it’s turn to try Kona Electric. Having a body that is taller than Ioniq, the impression of giddiness is more pronounced when turning corners, especially the fourth corner and the small S of the Sentul Circuit.

Symptoms of dizziness are not too severe, but the car feels a little understeer when in the little S. However, for the tightness of the cabin, you could say that Kona Electric is quieter than Ioniq when bulldozing the asphalt circuit which is full of gravel.

Talking about the performance of Kona Electric, it does have the same power, 136 TK, but the torque is 100 Nm greater than Ioniq, which is 395 Nm. Very large torque for an SUV with a body compact.

Being in the straight towards the third corner, with a large torque, it feels easy to reach speeds of 120 kph. Not to mention when the acceleration test is in the main straight, the torque feels more abundant with symptoms wheel spin when stepping on the gas until it comes from a stop position.
