The secrets of Prince’s rarity that came to streaming — Radio Concierto Chile

Two decades after its launch, the record label Prince public Magnificenta rare song from the album Musicology which has never before been available on streaming services.

This song, which stands out for its sensuality, layers of digital percussion and a well-fronted synth arrangement, was composed and recorded entirely by Prince himself.

A tribute to a unique artist

The launch of Magnificent marks the first time Prince fans around the world will have access to this rare recording.

If you add up to United States Of Divisionanother rare B-side of the era Musicology which was released earlier this year.

Both songs celebrate the 20th anniversary of the historic tour Musicology Live 2004a series of shows at which Prince distributed copies of his album Musicology to thousands of concertgoers.

At the artist’s request, the tour featured reasonable ticket prices that encouraged fans of all ages to attend, changing the way the music industry viewed live performances.

Musicology: A resounding success

Musicologythe album that gave its name to the tour, won two Grammy Awards and was certified double platinum by the RIAA in 2005.

It came at the peak of Prince’s resurgence in the early 2000s, coinciding with his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and his iconic performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps of the Beatles.

Celebration 2024: An event to remember Prince

To continue celebrating Prince’s legacy, Celebration 2024 will take place June 20-24 at Prince’s Paisley Park complex in Minneapolis.

The event will feature music, celebrity panels, exclusive concert footage, multiple activations in downtown Minneapolis, and a tour of newly curated Paisley Park.
