One of the factors that makes driving a car feel calm, safe, and confident is its safety features. Moreover, when the car is taken for a road trip.
Now! This time detikOto had the opportunity to try out the latest line from Morris Garage (MG), which is a facelift version of their large SUV, namely the New HS.
Devouring the hilly path that stretches from the southern region of Banten to the West Java region feels comfortable and safe.
Even though in this journey that covered a total distance of up to 500 km, we traversed various terrains and road surfaces. Starting from the asphalt roads on the toll road and the Banten crossing route, to the surface of the gravel gravel in the Kasepuhan SinarOfficial area.
The road conditions are also quite diverse, ranging from straight freeways on the Jakarta-Merak toll road, straight roads on cross-provincial routes, to sharp winding roads on the hills of the Banten-West Java route.
Interestingly, even though faced with uncertain conditions, MG New HS was still able to provide a sense of calm to the road trip team this time.
MG New HS has received 5 stars from EURO NCAP and ANCAP. Call it basic safety features such as ABS brakes, EBD, and Brake Assist, which are now standard.
In addition, there is also Curved Brake Control and a braking system when cornering which is equipped with an Electronic Differential System.
The vehicle control features are also complete, starting from stability control, traction control, to controlling the car when going down hills or Hill Descent Control. Then for the airbags, it is quite complete in this latest HS. It’s in the front, sides, and curtains.
Interestingly, these safety features are available in all types of MG New HS, from the cheapest to the most expensive. Even for airbags, not differentiated or reduced.
It should be noted that the latest SUV from MG is available in three types, namely Activate, Ignite and Magnify i-SMART. For the price, the MG New HS Activate type costs IDR 455,800,000, Ignite IDR 499,800,000, and the most expensive type, the Magnify i-SMART, sells for IDR 545,800,000.
