Exclusive translation: The British newspaper Daily Mail revealed the basic breakfast meal for the oldest man from his British city of Bristol, who is 107 years old.
The newspaper said in a report that eating breakfast is the secret to his long life, and he is ranked the 12th oldest person in Britain.
Leonard Howes, born in 1916, served in World War II and saw five different kings during his lifetime.
His daughter-in-law, Carol Hawes, said what helped him live such a long life: “For his long life, he relies on eating shredded wheat with whole milk for as long as possible.”
His birthday cake this year was a cake with fish and chips and mushy peas made from snow, his favorite meal.
In 1937, Hawes took a job with Post Office Telephones, where he would work for 44 years and retire in 1981 at the age of 65 – after the company became known as British Telecommunications.
