Among those, the one that stands out the most is Enzo Vogrincicwho plays Numa Turcatti in the film, and recently the actor visited a podcast where he revealed another new detail about his efforts in the Spanish filmmaker’s film.

In an exclusive interview for the podcast Rock, Paper or Goat, The Uruguayan actor revealed another of the sacrifices he had to make during the filming of the film, demonstrating his commitment to the role. And Enzo left his veganism aside in order to connect more with his character.

Why did Enzo Vogrincic renounce veganism?

Vogrincic, who also confessed his commitment to the veganism On the same podcast, he faced a unique challenge when he was cast in the role of Numa in The Snow Society. The nutritionists in charge of his physical preparation for filming explained to him that he had to gain at least seven kilograms of weight for the role, a crucial requirement for the authenticity of his character. However, maintaining a vegan diet did not facilitate the required weight gain, as this type of diet tends to be low in fat and calories.

In his own words, Vogrincic shared his dilemma: “I had been vegan for four years, when I was in the movie“The nutritionists who were going to be in charge of the weight gain and loss for filming asked me that I had to gain about seven kilos to start filming.”

The actor reflected on how he found a connection between his situation and that of his character: “Then the insistence was so great that one day I made a kind of connection where I began to understand something: that Numa shared some of this. He was not vegan but he understood that eating the bodies of others was something that was not right and he absolutely refused it and waited until the last moment, but he had to sacrifice that in pursuit of something mine. ¡s†.

As a result of that small connection, the 30-year-old Uruguayan understood the sacrifice that his character had made, along with the survivors of the fateful accident in Los Andes. “When I make this connection I begin in some way to understand a certain sacrifice that he made and certain feelings of disgust and of eating meat again, and returning to that, which I ended up choosing after the character.†, he expressed.
