Anyone who has seen the James Bond movies knows that the protagonist of this saga shows elegance, intelligence and a taste for martinis shaken, not mixed. But what other quality should a real 007 have? Debbie McWilliams has been part of the casting team for James Bond movies since 1981 and in a recent interview with Radio Times, she told the agent’s secret and why certain actors couldn’t embody it.
“He has to have a great physique,” says McWilliams, “but he doesn’t have to stand out in any situation.” This explains why the actor Dwayne The Rock Johnson could never be the secret agent since the mere presence of him draws attention to his tremendously muscular physique. Of course, Dwayne Johnson can boast of having an ancestor who is linked to the movie saga since his grandfather was an enemy of Sean Connery in ‘You only live twice’.
