Ahome is the municipality that has contributed the most players to the First Division, in addition to having 20 players in basic forces

Ahome is the Municipality and Los Mochis the city, has 11 players in the First division, above entities such as Culiacán, San Luis Potosí and Nuevo León.
Bernardo Bon is in charge of the academy where players such as Luis Romo, now from Blue Cross, Gilberto Sepulveda of Chivas, Alonso Escoboza of America, Erick gutierrez who plays for PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands and Luis Cardenas, substitute goalkeeper for Monterrey.
“In 1990 he started a project with the aim of sending players to professional teams, whichever one, we wanted them to be players of First division”, Says Bernardo Bon, the Monterrey visor, the team that dominates the area.
“In the 80s, out of 10 players, almost all wanted to return or they were returning, now, for example, in the case of Escoboza, this time we sent six, five stayed and one is in First division”, Says the soccer player trainer.
Ahome has 11 players placed in the First Division, but more than 20 in basic forces. His specialty is goalkeeping.
“The second goalkeeper of Monterrey is the Mochis Cardenas, Edson Resendez He is also from here, José Alejandro, Atlas goalkeeper is also from here, the one from Toluca in basic forces, Carlos Higuera too, that’s because we have a person who specializes in goalkeepers. That is why several have left, Juan de Dios Ibarra also came from here ”.
