The lives of koalas vary in different areas of Australia. Despite its reputation as Australia’s best-known animal, koala populations are found only in the east and southeast of the country. And even though they live in a wide variety of forests, whether arid, tropical or temperate, the different groups of individuals are sometimes isolated from the others.
