So, already at the age of 60, she managed to get acquainted with Gleb Skorokhodov, who worked at the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. The young man invited the artist to voice several works by Anton Chekhov, and over time they became close friends.
Skorokhodov and Ranevskaya spent almost all their free time with each other. The star of the stage frankly shared her thoughts and stories with him, and Gleb carefully wrote everything down in his diary every evening. In the end, as his sister Inga told the portal, “7 days”, friends began to consider each other close relatives.
“Over time, Faina Grigorievna got so used to him and became attached that she even began to introduce her friends at a meeting like this:“ This is Gleb, my adopted son, ”” Skorokhodova said.
This went on for several years, and one day Gleb suggested that Ranevskaya release his diaries, in which he recorded all their conversations. At first, the artist agreed and was looking forward to publication. And then her opinion changed dramatically. The star of the scene was so against these diaries that she turned to the police, accusing Skorokhodov of persecution.
Because of the quarrel, the already former best friends stopped talking. Skorokhodov and Ranevskaya did not see each other until the death of the artist, and the diaries were never published.
