Murder two brothers, brother and sister, happened in Wedoro, Waru, Sidoarjo. The perpetrator is a close person who sadistically kills and throws the victim’s body into a well.
victims are Dira (20) and Dea (12). Dira is a student at a university in Surabaya. While Dea is still sitting at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. They are the children of Ismanto and Riyanti.
Meanwhile, the perpetrator is Heru Erwanto (26), a resident of Ploso Klaten, Kediri. The perpetrator worked as a rental driver. Previously he had worked in a coffee shop owned by the victim’s parents.
The motive of the case murder this is heartache. The heartache that arises from the perpetrator because his love is rejected by the victim.
“From the confession of the perpetrator, he was desperate to do it because his love was rejected by Dira,” said Sidoarjo Police Chief Kombes Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro to reporters at the Sidoarjo Police Headquarters, Tuesday (7/9/2021).
Kusumo explained that the incident began when the perpetrator visited the victim’s house. The perpetrator came when he wanted to explain or talk something to Dira. The first to meet the perpetrator was Dea. Not long after, Dira, who had just left, entered to meet the perpetrator.
While talking, they had an argument. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s hand but the victim screamed, causing the suspect to panic. In the panic, the perpetrator covered the victim’s mouth with his hand and pulled the victim into the house.
“Seeing this, the victim Dea took a knife in the kitchen to help her brother who was being smothered by the perpetrator. But the victim’s attempt failed. Even the perpetrator, the kitchen knife was slashed into the victim’s neck,” explained Kusumo.
Kusumo added that seeing his sister lying covered in blood, Dira shouted which made the perpetrators panic again. The perpetrator then strangled the victim’s neck with both hands until Dira died.
Seeing the two victims had died, the perpetrator then pulled the two victims’ bodies into the kitchen behind the house. The perpetrator then tied a stone to Dea’s leg as a ballast and then put Dea’s body inside well. Against Dira’s body which was still wearing a helmet, the perpetrator immediately lifted and put Dira’s body into the well.
“Furthermore, the suspect cleaned the victim’s blood by dousing it with water. The remaining blood was cleaned using a pillowcase and then the blood-stained cloth was thrown into the well by the suspect,” explained Kusumo.
“The suspect will be arrested under Article 338 of the Criminal Code and or Article 365 Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code and or Article 351 Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code and or Article 80 Paragraph 3 UURI No.35 of 2014 on changes to UURI No.23 of 2002 on Child Protection. each article 15 years in prison, “Kusumo said.
