Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The rupiah exchange rate against the United States dollar (US) weakened in the middle rate of Bank Indonesia (BI). Rupiah also weakened in spot market trading.
On Monday (6/29/2020), the BI middle rate or the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate / Jisdor exchange rate was at Rp 14,369. Rupiah weakened 0.91% compared to the position last weekend.
The rupiah was red in the ‘arena’ of the spot market. At 10:00 WIB, US $ 1 was equivalent to Rp 14,160 where the rupiah weakened slightly 0.07%.
When the spot market opened, the rupiah could remain stagnant at Rp. 14,150 / US $. Along the way, the rupiah then entered the red zone even though the depreciation was thin.
While other major Asian currencies move varied before the United States dollar. But despite the limited depression, the rupiah has become the weakest currency in Asia.
