The second Pfizer vaccination marathon kicks off this morning

The pandemic continues to decline in Lebanon with five deaths and 206 new cases of coronavirus contamination recorded yesterday, according to the daily report from the Ministry of Health. This brings to 542,375 the number of cumulative cases since February 21, 2020, the date of the announcement of the first case of Covid-19, including 7,790 deaths and 526,598 recoveries. Among the cases still active, 136 patients are hospitalized, including 78 admitted to intensive care.

In addition, the vaccination campaign, launched in mid-February, is continuing. Also according to the ministry report, 12.5% ​​of people eligible for vaccination have already received their first dose of vaccine with one of the products available in the country, while 6.6% have obtained their second injection.

As part of the efforts to speed up vaccination, a second vaccination marathon with the Pfizer / BioNTech product is planned today and tomorrow across the country. It concerns all people over the age of 55 and those with special needs over the age of 16. The vaccination will take place throughout the country, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Here is the list of centers participating in this marathon:

– Beirut district: Rafic Hariri government hospital; Hôtel-Dieu de France; Lebanese American University Medical Center – Rizk Hospital; University medical center – Saint-Georges hospital; Makassed; Lebanese hospital – Geïtaoui; American University of Beirut Medical Center (Sunday only).

– Caza de Baabda: Mount Lebanon hospital; Baabda government hospital; Bourj Brajné medical center; al-Rassoul al-Aazam hospital (only on Saturdays).

– Caza du Kesrouan: government hospital of Ftouh-Kesrouan (Bouar); Notre-Dame du Liban hospital in Jounié.

– Caza du Chouf: government hospital of Sibline; Aïn w Zaïn hospital.

– Caza du Metn: government hospital of Dahr el-Bachek; Lebanese Red Cross vaccine site at City Mall (Dora).

– Caza de Jbeil: Saint-Michel de Amchit hospital.

– Caza de Zahlé: Békaa hospital; Zahlé government hospital.

– West Bekaa District: Machghara government hospital.

– Caza de Rachaya: government hospital in Rachaya.

– Caza of Baalbeck: seat of the Union of Municipalities of Baalbeck; Baalbeck government hospital (only Saturdays).

– Caza du Hermel: government hospital of Hermel; headquarters of the Union of Municipalities of Hermel (only on Sundays).

– Caza of Akkar: government hospital of Halba; Habtour hospital; Notre-Dame de la Paix hospital in Kobeyate.
