The police arrested another gang that shot the wife of a TNI member in Banyumanik, Semarang City. The perpetrator with the initials AG was arrested in Demak after his marriage contract.
“(The perpetrator was arrested) Shortly after the marriage contract,” said Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar via text message, Friday (22/7/2022).
There is no further information regarding the second suspect who was arrested. Irwan only explained that the perpetrator was arrested in Demak.
“The second perpetrator was detained in Demak,” he explained.
With the arrest of AG, currently two perpetrators of the gang that shot the wives of TNI members in Banyumanik, Semarang, have been arrested.
Previously, the joint TNI-Polri team secured the executioner of the shooting at the Semarang-Demak border.
“(Arrested at) the Demak-Semarang border,” said Irwan this afternoon.
Police have also secured two vehicles used by the gang. One of the vehicles, namely the Kawasaki Ninja 2-stroke, has been changed in color by the perpetrators.
“We confiscated this vehicle from the house of a co-perpetrator of one of these perpetrators (a Ninja motorbike) on Jalan Pamularsih, in Sampangan. Then this (Beat motorbike) was confiscated in Sayung (Demak Regency) at one of the houses of this group of perpetrators,” he said.
To note, there are four perpetrators who were caught on CCTV cameras at the time of the incident. It was stated that there were allegations of intellectual actors or those who were the brains of the action.
Meanwhile, quoted from Detik newsTNI Commander General Andika Perkasa said the victim’s husband, Kopda M, was suspected of being involved in the shooting of his wife, R. Currently, Kopda M is still being sought.
“Yes, that’s because not only witnesses have been examined, but also electronic ones and everything is pointing that way. So that’s what we got so far,” Andika told reporters at Mako Kolinlamil, North Jakarta, today.
Andika said that when asked about the alleged involvement of the victim’s husband, who is a TNI soldier.
As is known, the wife of Kopda M with the initials R (34) was shot by an unknown person (OTK) in front of her house, Jalan Cemara 3, Padangsari, Banyumanik on Monday (18/7). The victim was shot at around 12.00 WIB when he had just returned from picking up his child at school.
