The second part of StarDance showed that it was a big mistake to fire Zdenek Chlopčík

MEDIA EVALUATION: Not only the beginning of the thirteenth season of StarDance … when the stars were, but also the first article in the series of our evaluations had a good response. Last Saturday, we focused especially on saying goodbye to the judge Zdenek Chlopčík. At last he admitted to himself that it was a strange disappointment. On the phone, hard, aloof.

Where something ends, something else begins, one would like to note.

The second part of this year’s cycle was shown again on Saturday in prime time, and we can again safely estimate that the viewership will reach more than a million viewers. This year’s premiere, as StarDance’s creative representative Lucie Kapounová confirmed to our editors, was watched by 1 million 629 thousand viewers.

Our editors set a high standard for such a success, as it is an essential program pearl of the autumn television schedule. That’s why we pay attention to details, clothes, instructions, photography and conversations between Mark Eben and Tereza Kostková. In this regard, however, it is worth noting that the two know each other well and certainly some preparation here and there would not hurt. After all, Eben was a member of the famous Ypsilonka for almost two decades, where Jiří Lábus regularly played with the words so precisely that even their authors had to be surprised. To this day, at least, we find Martin Dejdar, Pavel Nové or Oldřich Navrátil in the artistic group.

Josef Vinař, a psychologist, theater researcher and pedagogue at DAMU, has emphasized to the author of this article once again the fine line between a learned text and some variation. He once gave as an example not only Jaroslav Dušek, but above all Jan Schmid, the founder of Studio Ypsilon.

The faces of the moderator duo, the judges, the band Moondance Orchestra Martin Kumžák, and above all the contestants opened on Saturday night. Lucie Vondráčková, Ondřej Ruml, Patrik Hartl or Marta Dancingerová.

Let us remind you that Martina Ptáčková and Dominik Vodička (jive) won the lowest point level after the first week, they only got 12 points. The waltz performed by actress Jana Paulová and dancer Robin Ondráček was the most interesting (25 points).

The first elimination round offered waltz, samba and jive.

what it was like

Let’s start with moderators. They were excellent, calm, Marek Eben was very lonely and his partner was definitely not left behind. The band was perfect too. Maybe except for the cries of “Shakira, Shakira” by one of the singers during the song Hips Don’t Lie.

So the main shortcoming of the evening was the jury.

We hope all viewers will agree that StarDance is a competition show…where the stars dance mostly. It is not fun, educational, fun. And competition naturally involves rigorous judgments. However, they did not happen for unknown reasons. The jury competed with each other in giving comfort and confidence that it even looked funny in places. For example, played by the chef Ta Thuy Dung alias Chilli and the dancer Jakub Mazůch. Chilli’s dress was torn and she almost fell. In the end she managed everything despite the visible tension on her face. The smile from the bottom left to the top right didn’t help either.

Anyway, it was about the mouth, one wants to say. In the end, the dancing couple somehow overcame their problems and survived. Of course, it is clear how terrible it must have been for them to labor all week until the whole show was ruined through no fault of their own. It’s just that no one looks back. When a tennis player lets go of the string at a crucial moment and the ball falls behind him instead of breaking it, it’s hard to get back, isn’t it? Or a football player like that. He kicks a penalty and instead of the ball, the kicker comes into the net. One laughs, the other cries.

This year’s jury praised and applauded. Ta Thuy Dung should have received verbal support, not points. For us, the performance was a maximum of three points.

And let’s move on.

A weak jury

Patrik Hartl waved his hands as if he was on the stage in Poděbrady, when families say goodbye on Sunday, he did not let his teacher Tereza Pruková speak slowly, so that he keeps putting pressure on unnecessary thoughts. He should have got a point, maybe two. The jury was looking forward to the fun they had. Apparently Richard Genzer had made a mistake on stage and his thoughts were somewhere in Penny.

On the other hand, Jiří Ježek (and Lenka Nora Návorková) and Filip Blažek (and Adriana Mašková) deserved great praise and a higher number of points. Blažek is a complete dancing log, he has terror in his eyes and sweat on his forehead, but he has hardly ruined anything. That he looked like Robocop, that’s exactly what he was. Five points. The hedgehog is amazing in motion, as is Oskar Hes. The two at nine. Lucie Vondráčková is an almost complete professional, nine people. Martina Ptáčková bad, three points. Average Ondřej Ruml, four points.

That’s how we would evaluate the second evening.

In short, the jury was soft, unreasonably critical and sensitive. A show like this abroad is able to make the competitor cry. With us, it’s more about comforting and exaggerated compliments. But at the same time, about repetition so that viewers send paid SMS and do not let their favorites fly away. A very two-pronged approach.

It was Saturday night that showed what Zdeněk Chlopčík misses and will be missed.

Along with him, the singer Ondřej Ruml will no longer appear in the spotlight. He gives a very calm and dignified look to the audience. People want feelings, he didn’t offer them.
