Square Enix has released a second edition of Final Fantasy XIV: Chronicles of Light announced. Fans who didn’t enjoy the first edition in 2019 will be able to catch up on the short story collection soon.
The book contains a total of 25 short stories from the Final Fantasy XIV universe, of which 21 have already been read online and can still be read. However, four of the stories remain exclusive to the anthology:
- tasted blood
- Butcher shop Kuganer style
- On the path of the gods
- The samurai who couldn’t die
In addition, each chapter has a picture of Toshiyuki Itahana, who was responsible for, among other things, as a character designer for Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles.
The release is scheduled for October 18, 2022, according to Square Enix. the Product page in the German Square Enix store still refers to the 2019 edition. Amazon offers already has a product page for the new edition*, you can certainly pre-order the anthology there soon.
