Let’s try to put some order in the thick genealogical tree of the Agnelli family starting with the Avvocato. 1953 when Giovanni Agnelli, known as Gianni, married Princess Marella Caracciolo of Castagneto in the Osthoffen castle in Strasbourg. From their union was born Edoardo Agnelli, who died prematurely by suicide in 2000, and Margherita Agnelli, who in her first marriage married the Italian-French journalist Alain Elkann with whom she had their children Ginevra, Lapo and John Philip Jacob known as Jaki. Divorce and second marriage followed, in 1981, with the Russian Serge de Pahlen, from which five other children were born who enrich the dynasty bouquet: Maria, Pietro, the twins Sophia and Anna and the youngest daughter Tatjana de Phalen born in 1990.
