A new center for digital education for children “IT-cube” began work in the city of Segezha thanks to the national project “Education”. This is the second such center in Karelia, the administration of the head of the republic reported.
In the modern educational environment, schoolchildren, under the guidance of experienced mentors, will become more familiar with the basics of Python programming, robotics, algorithms, and logic. All this will help them develop their talents in the digital environment, increase their information literacy and give them the opportunity to decide on their future profession.
“For this purpose, we purchased high-tech equipment and renovated classrooms. I am sure that teachers will be very comfortable working in such conditions, and the children will be happy to receive knowledge on new educational programs,” said the region’s Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Natalya Volkova.
Nacproekt “Education” is designed to create conditions so that all children and adolescents in Russia have equal opportunities to maximize their potential. Throughout the country, schools, colleges, and technical schools are being built and modernized, and equipped with modern equipment. The system of free additional education is developing through the expansion of the network of Quantorium technology parks, IT-cube digital development centers and regional branches of the Sirius center for gifted children. National projects have been implemented by decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2019.
