The State Police transmits the latest developments in the results of the investigation into the case Astana Anyar police suicide bombing, Bandung, West Java, Wednesday (7/12) morning. The bomber named Agus Sujatno (USA) brought 2 bombs to be detonated on the spot.
Dansat Brimob Polda Jabar Kombes Yuri Karsono said the bomb was brought by the perpetrator to New Astana Police use a backpack. The bomb was stored in the front and rear.
The perpetrator broke into the line of Astana Anyar police members who were holding a rally. The bomb carried by the perpetrator then exploded at 08.25 WIB. The bomb exploded inside the Polsek in front of the entrance area.
The only bomb that went off was the one the perpetrator was holding behind the body. The bomb out front didn’t go off.
“Before it was said to be stored in the front and rear. What exploded was the bomb component in the rear. It was not split in the front, so it did not explode at the same time, but it bounced, it bounced in a different TKP ,” he said at a press conference on Thursday (8/12/2022).
The bomb belonging to the perpetrator which did not explode was then destroyed by the Gegana team when they arrived at the scene.
“Because of its sensitive nature, we weed it out,” she said.
