On August 29, 2024, around 08:53, IPJ Vrancea Dispatcher was notified via SNUAU 112 regarding, on DN 2-E85, at the exit of Golești commune, a road accident occurred, in which a car belonging to Vrancea County Police Detectives was involved.
From the investigations carried out on the spot, it emerged that the car was reportedly hit from behind by a van, on DN 2 E85, when it was intended to be two other vehicles from the opposite direction of travel.
4 vehicles were involved in the incident, and as a result 8 people were injured, one of whom was jailed.
The injured were taken to the hospital, to receive the necessary medical care.
Five of the eight injured are “IPJ Vrancea employees”, according to statements made by the high commissioner Claudiu Marinică – head of the Vrancea Road Service.
At this time, traffic is running normally.

Three teams from the Focșani Fire Department intervened with a SMURD model and an intervention vehicle, to a road accident on DN2 E85, in the town of Golești, in which two vans and two cars were involved. As a result of the accident, 8 victims were conscious and cooperative from the 2 cars. One of the victims was extricated by the firefighters, all 8 victims were taken over by the medical teams that were present.
County Ambulance Service (SAJ) Vrancea:
At 8:52 am, the dispatcher SAJ Vrancea received a request for a road accident on the E85 Golești town, 4 vehicles involved, one victim in prison.
On request, two SAJ ambulances with doctor, one SAJ ambulance with assistant, SAJ ambulance in motion, SMURD extrication model were directed.
8 conscious victims with polytraumas from a road accident were identified, who were taken and transported to the Focșani Emergency Unit.
