After the complaint of the seasonal firefighters, according to which the competent Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection left them without food and water for a second day, they come back to denounce the minister Vassilis Kikilia himself for lying.
Vassilis Kikilias, in his appearance on the ANT1 television station’s news bulletin, argued that the firefighters do not remain on the front lines of the fires continuously, but change in shifts.

As they say, seasonal firefighters work 24 hours minimum. This year, in fact, with the new conditions set by the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, they are working even 48 hours straight.

Mr. Minister, you are either knowingly lying or you really don’t know what is happening to you. Nor how the Firemen work.
Firefighters therefore work 24 hours minimum. This year, even with your New Dogma, they work even 48 hours (on-call – additional – 24-hour service).
Also a vehicle starting from Thessaloniki for example needs around 8 hours to arrive, 24 hours to act and another 8 hours for the staff to return. It’s just math, Minister.
But even so, doesn’t a Firefighter who came on duty at 07:30 in the morning need to drink water during the day?
Minister, you are knowingly lying. Come out and say we were wrong, it’s more honest than making fun of us.
