The search for the 45-year-old missing person who was swept away by a torrent has been unsuccessful

The search for the 45-year-old Nikos, the man who was swept away with his fiancee on the evening of Monday, January 15, by a torrent in Plutochori, Ilias, and remains missing until today, January 27, 12 days later, has been fruitless.

As reported by ilianenimerosi.gr, the specially trained dogs of the Anubis K9P Team that went to Plutochori in the municipality of Andritsaina-Krestena in Ilia to assist in the search for the missing person, however, were unable to detect anything.

In fact, the dogs were searching from yesterday Friday at noon until today Saturday, from the Kovitsa stream to the mouth of the Alpheios river. However, they did not find anything and so they will return to Preveza, together with their operators, to return to Ilia in a few days, if the searches continue to be fruitless.

According to ilianenimerosi.gr, the dogs are leaving since in order for their participation in the investigations to be more effective, 17 days will have to pass from the moment the tragic incident happened in Plutochori.

And this is because, after the end of the specified period of time, the decomposition of the human body begins, which means that the chances of the specially trained dogs to smell something increase…

It is recalled that the fiancee of the unfortunate man was found dead a day later from a tragic incident, at a distance of about 1.5 km from the place where their car was swept away.
