The director of the show Elmārs Sņkovs revealed: “When the circumstances of the pandemic prevented us from showing the audience this show created in 2019, the idea arose to capture the production. My idea was to find an unusual format for how to do it. Director Liene Linde came to offer GoPro a camera that would allow the viewer to move from one image to another and see the situation from their point of view. It seemed to us to transfer a lot of activities to real life, not forgetting the stage environment in which the show was originally created. In the end, we had a transformed show. Thanks to the subjective camera, each of the actors also became the operator of this work. For me, this job is about growing up in today’s age. You seem to have everything. But what else do we need to pursue? ”

Both new and experienced actors take part in the version of the show – Matīss Budovskis, Una Eglīte, Ivars Krasts, Rihards Zelezņevs, Sandija Dovgāne, Elīna Bojarkina, Varis Piņķis and Matīss Millers. The cinematographer of the video work is Dāvids Smiltiņš, the sound director is Jevgenijs Kobzevs, the artist is Līga Zepa, the executive producer is Elīna Auzāne.

Director Liene Linde said: “I was really pleased to work with the phenomenally talented young generation of recent graduates of the Academy of Culture. witnessing the circumstances in which actors are so extremely familiar with the characters they play.

According to Elmārs Sņkovs, the collaboration with director Lieni Lindi is a completely new work and is not comparable to the previous show.

“Have we created a strange audiovisual theatrical show during a pandemic or an experimental low-budget movie? This question should probably be answered by each viewer themselves, but I think watching ‘Hunt’, no matter what format we consider it to work (interdisciplinary experiment, screen theater or anything else) will be an exciting evening, “says Liene Linde.
