The sci-fi game Stellaris is getting a roguelike spin-off. reedus

Hardly anyone expected it, but the science fiction game 4X Stellaris is heading in a whole new direction with the announcement of Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game, a spin-off of the epic roguelike strategy game.

Also, this game was created specifically for virtual reality and will be coming to headsets very soon.

Developer Fast Travel Games said Ghost Signal is “an action-packed virtual reality roguelike set in the popular galactic universe of Paradox Interactive.”

The game will immerse the player in a “vast ocean of stars”, where he will be the captain of the ship and will encounter many alien creatures.

The player will have to research new species, as well as conduct their own research in different tech trees, in order to unravel the mysteries of these living creatures and their origin.

Like Stellaris, the new project feels very atmospheric and cosmically cold, although in this version of the famous universe you will directly participate in the battles. Plus, you won’t get bored – there are alien monsters the size of a planet and there are small, nimble creatures.

As this is a thoroughbred roguelike, this means that all maps will be procedurally generated randomly and daily challenges and progress will be unlocked with each new playthrough.

On the official website there is already more information on the game, which will be released in early 2023.
