The schools remain open. After the Federal Council had gradually adopted its liberal corona policy in recent weeks, this principle remains in place. School closings would have negative consequences for the mental health of children and adolescents and their educational progress, argued the Federal Council in a statement on Wednesday.
In Europe, Switzerland is one of the few countries where children are actually allowed to go to school every day. Of our neighboring countries, only in France are schools not yet in distance learning.
