Postponed twice, the project led by the Jeunesses Musicales de France and the company “Neither say no, you have smiled” ended up seeing the light of day and materialized on Friday at the Sterenn in Trégunc. Drums, trombone, vocals … The elementary school of Kerandon, in Concarneau, thus benefited, in November 2020, from workshops led by the comedians musicians of the company and Frédérique Piriou, dumist at CCA, around singing, body percussion and the fanfare. “The project continued in January and February 2021 with, in addition, workshops with the community media libraries of CCA, in particular that of Saint-Yvi. And in a music school in the area, in Trégunc and Saint-Yvi, ”says the dumist.
Friday, as a prelude to the company’s show “Do not say no, you have smiled”, which traces the life of the character of Old Black Joe, from his childhood in Louisiana, to his emancipation and his modern life in Chicago and New York while traversing the history of jazz, the schoolchildren of Kerandon offered their families a very nice musical spectacle. An approach all the more rewarding as many of them had never made music before.
