The Schengen zone is proposed to be expanded to Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Serbia

Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis called for the expansion of the Schengen zone. He proposes to expand Schengen to Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Serbia.

He called on the European Union to define a clear strategy for expanding the Schengen area.

“We have to say why Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Serbia are still not in Schengen,” Babis said.

In addition, according to him, the EU needs to be protected from illegal migration, and reiterated that Schengen in 2015 did not act on this issue.
