The schedule of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2022 in Finland

On May 13th the ice hockey world championship starts in Finland. Here 16 teams fight for the world championship title during 17 days. Of course, Switzerland will also be there. The Russian and Belarusian teams were temporarily disqualified by the IIHF because of the war of aggression in the Ukraine, Austria and France moved up. Here is the tournament schedule.

Switzerland was placed in Group A. Opponents like reigning world champion Canada and last year’s spoilsport Germany await the national team here. All dates of Switzerland in the group phase:

Finally, on May 26, the final phase of the tournament begins. Here, in the quarter-finals, the group winners compete against the group fourth and the group runners-up against the group third of the other group. The teams for the semi-finals will then be reassigned. The final will take place on Sunday, May 29th.
