The Sables d’Or beach is supervised from this Thursday May 13, 2021. The surveillance of the other beaches will begin on Saturday June 12 and will continue until Saturday July 3, at La Barre beach

Decree 2021/944 signed by the mayor of Anglet, Claude Olive, sets the rules for beach surveillance for the summer season 2021. It begins, like every year, with the Golden Sands. Anglet’s coastal rescuers will take up their summer duties there on Wednesday May 13. The surveillance schedule for the 2021 summer season is as follows:

Golden Sands: from Wednesday May 13 to Sunday November 7, 2021.

Petite Chambre d’Amour: from Saturday June 12 to Sunday September 12, 2021.

Marinella: from Saturday June 12 to Sunday September 12, 2021.

Madrague: from Saturday June 12 to Sunday September 12, 2021.

Rider: from Saturday June 12 to Sunday September 12, 2021.

Corsairs: from Saturday June 26 to Sunday August 29, 2021.

Ocean: from Saturday June 26 to Sunday August 29, 2021.

La Barre: from Saturday July 3 to Sunday August 29 2021.

Watch hours

Surveillance will be provided from the dates indicated, every day continuously from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., from Saturday May 13 to Friday July 2 and from Monday August 30 to Sunday November 7, 2021.

It will be provided continuously from 10:30 am to 7 pm, between Saturday July 3 and Sunday August 29, 2021. During all these periods, the barrier gestures and the rules of distancing continue to apply. In addition, outside of surveillance hours, swimming and water sports are at the risk and peril of the practitioners.

Regulated activities

Municipal decree 2021/874 also sets the rules for the practice of certain nautical activities. Surf foil and stand up paddle foil are authorized from Tuesday June 1 to Sunday October 31, 2021, between 6 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Practitioners of kitesurfing, kite foil and wind-foil are authorized, from a starting area located between the blockhouse of the beach of the Ocean and the tunnel of the beach of the Dunes, to cross the strip of 300 meters to engage in their discipline beyond, between 6 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
