The SCCF will provide 2.3 million euros to cultural institutions affected by the Covid-19 restrictions

In order to support businesses, associations and foundations whose activities are related to the provision of permanent public cultural events and which have been restricted due to the restrictions set in the Covid-19 country, the State Cultural Capital Fund (SCCF) has announced a target program worth 2.3 million euros.

According to the information published on the SCCF website, the target program is intended to partially compensate cultural institutions for current expenses incurred during the existence of restrictions in order to ensure business continuity.

In the targeted program competition, the maximum amount to be awarded to one legal entity for one month’s expenses is 5,000 euros, which is applicable to paid expenses for the period from 13 March to 30 September.

In the project tender, the applicant can apply for reimbursement of paid expenses for the period from March 13 to September 30, paid from the organization’s account in a Latvian credit institution, for regular monthly payments, for rent of premises and land, utilities, communication services, IT system maintenance, accounting and security services, the company’s civil law, real estate insurance, management services and other related payments, which must be paid in accordance with regulatory enactments. The support is provided in the amount of 75% of the paid expenses.

You can also receive reimbursement of expenses related to the paid salary and related taxes for employees employed on the basis of an employment contract. The support is provided for the period from March 13 to June 30, in the amount of not more than 75% of the paid salary, but not more than 700 euros, as well as for the period from July 1 to September 30 in the same amount.

The project application and copies of certified documents must be submitted to the SCCF from 3 August to 20 August at 12 noon and from 1 October to 21 October at 12 noon.
