Behind every scandal, as it often appears in the “headlines” of the press, there are also scandalous behaviors.
And I will tell you about them. You will read in detail about the scandal itself, the case with the fraud – “carousel” set up by a businessman, a former banker and a politician on the pages of “OT”.
But in short, the businessman had taken loans from the bank managed by the other person involved, without meeting the necessary conditions.
In return, the businessman allegedly helped the banker to legalize illegal funds amounting to 2 million euros, which were never declared in his “whereabouts”.
The scandalous
The scandalous thing is that this “twin” is not unknown in Northern Greece. And the sad thing is that it shouldn’t be all over Greece.
Since the businessman was the latest to take over a sugar producing country and turn it into an importer and trader of… sugar.
So apart from the case – scandal, these people involved knew each other well.
On the other hand, the bank was the one that provided loans for the production of the beet growers on behalf of the Greek Sugar Industry.
And the second one can be found in the entrepreneurs who took control of EVZ and turned it into a… commercial enterprise. That is, an import and trading business

And while the protagonists were the ones who had taken on the admittedly difficult burden of resurrecting a production that measured five processing units, they were the ones who gave the gratuitous shot.
In this very large co-operative industry, they were the ones who put the tombstone. Like everyone in the area and all the producers who lived from this “chain”.

A family affair
But let’s stick to… “family stories”.
And let’s remember with a little history. Anabam bambadam, as they also say in my village, the chambers and the chamber unionism were a privileged field of the Right and later of the New Democracy.
Even at the time when the “Great” – there is one “Great” guys, Andreas Papandreou – was building … socialism!
The chambers were “islands” of the Right.
If only the opposition played a game in Athens and Piraeus, in the craft and professional sectors. Until there!

Presumably it leaves the opposition indifferent.
But in New Democracy “lads are being slaughtered” in the name of chamber trade unionism.
Civil war with guerillas and lawmen
I am learning, then, that in the region – not to call it a “province” and I will hurt them – in many cities there are more than one combination.
Blue shade of course! One the official and the others “universally protesting”!
In Kavala, Pieria, Heraklion, Chania and so on.
In fact, because the line is “hard”, the local New Democracy organizations have set up party committees to support the “authentic” representative of the party.
In other words, a “blue civil war” is developing at this time, which in any case is interesting!
Dissatisfaction of small and medium-sized enterprises
Presumably the reasons are twofold: First, there is a lot of dissatisfaction in the area of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs about “the works and days” of the government.
And in this case they manifest themselves by supporting different ballots.
Given that the government with its policy has abandoned the specific social space.
And secondly, there are administrations in many chambers, which are blind to the … life-long monarchical tradition.
That is, local systems.
Oh, yes, and one more detail: Chambers have money, and a lot of it. Which they manage in white….

I was reading the cases identified by AADE in controls carried out from June to September 2024 at airports and customs.
And I was impressed by two cases. The first is, I think, blatant, and concerns some who came from Israeli airports, either indirectly or directly.
Because they were carrying cash above the permissible limits. Understandable… given the situation, it might be signs of the times too. The tough ones in the area.
But what was more impressive, is that an American was spotted at Mytilini airport preparing to travel to Athens with four sections of fossils in his luggage!
