in the Metropolitan Municipal Council
CONCERNING: Scandal with the attempts to build inter-block spaces and playgrounds in the Mladost region, which led to the resignation of the regional mayor Dr. Tsveta Avdzhieva
The scandalous cases with attempts to build playgrounds and green areas in Mladost 1, 2, 3 and 4 is another consequence of the short-sighted policy of the right-wing government in Sofia. The chaos was created by the former chief architect Petar Dikov, together with the majority of GERB in Stolichna municipality.
We are currently witnessing the results of all their irresponsibility towards the future of the area and serving specific corporate interests.
The panicked actions of the PP “GERB” with the requested resignation of the regional mayor are nothing but an attempt to cover up the situation and to prevent the citizens from bringing to light other attempts to build green areas in the area.
It is clear that the representatives of PP “GERB” both at the city and regional level have no will to solve the problem of reconstruction in the interest of the citizens, with which they lost the trust of the people.
The municipal councilors from “BSP Left Bulgaria” in SOS insist and will work to find a permanent solution to the problem. Not only in the Mladost area, but in all other residential complexes in Sofia. This will be our main priority in the new season of SOS work.
The next mayor of the Mladost region, who will be elected by its residents, must necessarily initiate a review of the detailed development plan of the region and of all cases related to the construction of green areas and playgrounds.
Only in this way will we be able to prevent the implementation of the construction projects that prevent the Mladost region from “breathing”.
