The scandal in BSP Plovdiv is unprecedented, here is the position of Atanas Batashki

In conjunction with today’s press conference of the group of municipal councilors, called “Authentic Left BSP”, Dr. Atanas Batashki addressed the leadership of the Bulgarian Socialist Party. Here is his position:

“Dear Comrades,

I am writing to you in connection with the declaration read during today’s municipal session in Plovdiv to change the name of the group of BSP municipal councilors. I was extremely surprised by this declaration, in which my name also appeared. I want to assure you that I was not informed about the making of such a decision and I did not certify it with my signature.

It can be seen from the transcripts and recordings of the meeting of the OBS – Plovdiv that I was not present at today’s municipal session. I did not take part in the subsequent press conference with the media either. I am a member of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and will remain a member of this party. With this email, I declare that I remain a BSP municipal councilor.
