A news report said on Saturday that Saudi club Al-Nasr’s management had reached an agreement with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent, regarding financial compensation and all terms of his joining the team.
Today the Saudi newspaper “Okaz” unveiled the validity of a recent report according to which the Portuguese champion is close to joining the Al-Nasr club with a deal worth around 800 million riyals (the dollar is equivalent to 3.76 riyals).
She added that private sources have confirmed to her that the Al-Nasr administration had reached an agreement with Ronaldo, and all that remains is to complete the final procedures and the official announcement, which should take place early next week.
Sources indicated that the deal will be financed by one of Al-Nasr Club’s sponsor companies, with an integrated strategic contract, which will run for three years.
And reports in the European press had indicated on Friday evening that Portuguese star Ronaldo had received just two offers so far, after his contract was mutually terminated with Manchester United.
Ronaldo, 37, is planning his next move after leaving Manchester United, following his controversial interview with prominent British journalist Piers Morgan, in which he attacked the club’s management and coaching staff.
And British newspaper ‘The Times’ reported on Friday evening that Ronaldo has a £173m offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr, as well as another offer from a Qatari club, which contains less valuable financial items than to the Al-Nasr Offer.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus striker should make his decision within a few days.
Things didn’t get better for Ronaldo during the 2022 World Cup which recently took place in Qatar, as former Portuguese national team manager Fernando Santos pushed him to the bench in his last two World Cup matches in the Round of 16 and Eighth Leagues.
