The Saudi Minister of Health announces the launch of the HIMSS Digital Health Conference

Its purpose is to discuss future visions and a map of solutions adopted in the fields of health and the role of information technology in supporting decision-making in the field of health and therefore, the Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah announced today, Sunday, the launch of the activities of the International Digital Health Conference and Exhibition 2020 (HIMSS) organized by the Ministry of Health and the Saudi Health Council And the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties under the slogan (Transforming Health and Care from Vision to Reality).

The minister added in his statements that the conference is considered one of the most important global scientific conferences interested in discussing digital health issues and the role of the international community in developing the global health system, especially after the Corona pandemic, and the hypothetical conference discusses current challenges, visions and ideas about future plans and potential solutions in the field of health care at both levels. On the regional and international levels, the latest developments in advanced health informatics technology and ways to benefit from it, highlighting the vital role of the e-health service and its contribution to providing the highest possible quality in providing health care to all beneficiaries.

HIMSS Digital Health Conference Kicks Off

The conference reviews the topic of creating a digital workplace, as part of several themes included in the conference, most notably pioneering joint innovations and new business models, expanding health and care outside the hospital, harnessing the power of data such as enabling smarter health systems, and lessons learned from COVID-19. Participants in the conference will have free membership with HIMSS for a full year, and they will also receive 21 free educational hours.
