To achieve this, managers will have to invest in the construction of a new surface treatment plant in Marignane, associated with the project to take over the activities of PMA (Protec Métaux d’Arenc) in Marseille, currently being finalized. At Satys, the objective is therefore clear: “ By investing in a new site and betting on the ability of its teams to guarantee the operational excellence demanded by its customers in France and around the world and to develop its activities, Satys also contributes, in its place, to the more environmentally responsible development of the European aeronautics industry », Explains Christophe Cador, president and founder of the group.
A latest generation factory with high safety standards
Covering an area of 7,000 square meters, this infrastructure will be erected in the heart of the Florides business area and should come into service at the end of 2022. In this desire to be avant-garde, Satys has opted for a site labeled ” Factory of the Future 4.0 ”, at the cutting edge of technology. To do this, multiple latest generation solutions will be installed, such as the automation of parts conveying chains or advanced digitization.

The question of employment at the heart of the Toulouse group’s attention
To support them in this project, the people of Toulouse can count on the unwavering support of Provence Promotion and the economic development agency of the Paca region, always attentive to those who have plans to set up a business in Provence. It seems clear that this program is an economic boon in terms of jobs. On this point, Satys took a particular interest in this question on the case of resumption of the activities of PMA-Marseille, a company condemned to the closure of its site in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille, with dramatic consequences for employment. local.
Despite a complex situation for the aeronautics sector, the group has confirmed the takeover of all PMA staff (170 employees), thanks to the construction of the new factory. In this context, collaborative work will be initiated with the social partners in order to be able to propose an adaptation plan which would include the gradual departure of around 50 voluntary employees with contractual termination.
