Fans have been begging for it for years and are finally getting their appetite: Prince of Persia is finally making a comeback after 10 long years of absence. Unfortunately not in the form of a new game that people had mainly hoped for, but there will be a complete remake of the classic The Sands of Time. The remake is scheduled for release on January 21, 2021, according to Ubisoft who officially announced the game this week.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is set in the ancient Persian Empire. Attracted by the dark powers of a magical dagger that can manipulate time, a nameless prince must go on a perilous journey with the help of a beautiful princess to save the kingdom from a treacherous wizard.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was originally released in 2003 and became a huge success for Ubisoft. The game sold millions of copies after which it was decided to make no less than 2 sequels: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.
In early 2021, fans can relive the adventure that started it all. With improved graphics, camera work, sound and innovative gameplay, this remake is a must-play for any nostalgic fan.
